Recomendatione to Lord Advocat anent two boats with victuall from Ireland

The Earle of Annandale President of Councill haveing acquainted the Lords thereof That He had received a letter from the Laird of Auchinleck acquanting his Lordship That he had seized two boats importing Irish victuall and the Letter being read The said Lords doe hereby recomend To Sir James Stueart his Majesties Advocat, to inquyre in this matter And to take care that the persones importers and Saillers of the Vessells be committed to prisone And the victuall and boat be secured untill the matter be determined by the Councill And recomends to the said Lord Advocat to make report of his procedure in this matter to their Lordships at their next meeting
