Recomendatione anent accomptts In favors of Glendoiks Tennents
The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill Having Considered the report of a Committie of their oun numbers appointed for reviseing the accompts due by his majesties forces to the Countrey Bearing that the Committie haveing Considered the accompts given in to them as resting be his majesties forces upon scots pay to the Laird of Glendoick his tennents with the instructiones and verificationes therof They Find that ther are some Articles of the saids accompts Which are not in the termes of the act of parliament anent polemoney and proclamationes of Councill relative therto And Therfore they have refused and rejected these articles, And Finds that besides the articles refused and rejected as said is ther is still resting be his majesties forces upon scots pay to the said Laird of Glendoick his tennents the soumes following Viz by the Lord Newbotle his troop of horss the soume of fourtie thrie punds seven shilling six pences scots Item by the Lord Rollo his troop of horss six punds Eightein shilling Eight penies scots Item by the Earle of Eglingtoune his troope of horss thretein punds Eight shilling ten penies scots Extending the haill soumes forsaids resting by his majesties forces upon scots pay to the said Laird of Glendoick 2 his tennents to the soume of seventie two punds one shilling four penies scots, and Finds that the haill articles quherof the said soume is made up are all suficiently verified and proven partly by recepts under the hands of the officers or Souldiers to whom the same were furnished and partly by the Oathes and depositiones of the persones furnishers Conforme to the Commissioners of Supply within the shyre of Pearth their report before whom the oathes were taken and partly both by recepts and depositiones Which recepts and Report of the deposition’s were both produced to and Considered be the said Committie And Finds that the haill articles quherof the said totall Soume is made up were all furnished preceiding the first day of February Jaj vjc nyntie one years and that they are all in the termes of the nynth act Fourth session of this Current parliament Intituled act for polemoney and proclamations of Councill relative therto, And Therfore Its the Committies opinion That the forsaid soume of seventie two punds one shilling four pennies scots Is to be payed out of the present polemoney And that the said Lord of Glendoicks tennents are to be recomended to the Lords Commissioners of his majesties thesaury for payment of the same accordingly as the said report bears The Lords of his majesties privy Councill Doe Approve of the said report and Recomends to the Commissioners of parliament appointed anent the polemoney To Cause pay to the said Laird of Glendoick and his tennants the above Soume of Seventie two punds one shilling four penies scots as resting be his majesties forces upon scots pay to them and that out of the said polemoney.
