Recomendation anent accomptts In favors of The Toun and parish of Cumnock
The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill having Considered the report of a Committie of ther oun number apointed for reviseing the accompts resting be his majesties forces to the Countrey Bearing That the Committie having Considered the accompts given in to them as resting be the Laird of Pollock his troop to the brewers and inhabitants of the toune and parish of Cumnock with the instructiones and verificationes therof They Find the haill articles of the saids accomptt suficiently verified and proven be the oathes and depositiones of the saids brewers and inhabitants taken before the Commissioners of Supply within the shyre of Air, And Finds that a great part of these articles are provven be recepts under the hands of the troopers to whom the same were furnished albeit they hade not been2 deponed upon as said is, Which accompts and recepts with the reports of the saids Commissioners Clearing that the brewers and inhabitants forsaids did before them depone upon the verity of the said accompt, and that they have received no money therfore And that the same was all furnished preceiding the first day of February Jaj vjc nyntie one years were produced and Considered by the Comittie, And Finds that Conforme to the said accompt and instructions therof forsaid ther is resting be the said accompt and instructions therof forsaids Ther is resting be the said Laird of Pollock his troop to the saids brewars and Inhabitants to the said toune and paroch of Cumnock the soume of thrie hundreth and four punds Twelue shilling six penies scots, And Finds that the haill articles quherof this soume Is made up are all in the termes of the fifth act thrid session of this Current parliament and proclamationes of Councill relative therto and therfore It is the Committies opinion That the said soume of Thrie hundreth and four penies twelue shilling six penies scots Is to be payed to the saids brewars and inhabitants out of the present polemoney and that they are to be recomended to the Lords Commissioners of his majesties thesaury for payment of the same accordingly as the said reports bears The Lords of his majesties privy Councill Doe heirby approve therof And Recomends to the Commissioners of parliament appointed anent the polemoney To Cause pay to the saids brewers and inhabitants the soume of Thrie hundreth and four punds twelue shilling six penies scots as resting be the Laird of Pollock his troop quhich was upon scots pay and that out of the polemoney
