Warrand Robert Malloch to wryte to France

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill being informed That Robert Malloch merchant in Edinburgh hes a sone called Robert Malloch younger taken prisoner by the French They Hereby allow the said Robert Malloch elder to wryt to such persons in France as he shall think fitt anent the releiving or ransomeing his said sone from his Bondage Sir James Stueart his Majesties Advocat alwayes being first acquainted with any letters which the said Robert shall wryt and the same being read and allowed by him before they be sent to France.
