Warrant

Warrand to apprehend the Baillie of Calder

The Lords of his majesties privy Councill doe hereby Recomend to his Grace James Duke of Queensberry Commander in Cheiff of his Majesties forces within this Kingdome To ordor a partie of his majesties forces horse or foot to search for the persone of Hugh Sandilands Baillie of Calder and to seize and apprehend him and being apprehended to conduct and Committ him prisoner to the tolbooth of Edinburgh and ordaines the magistrats of Edinburgh and keeper of their tolbooth to receive him from the said partie and keep and detaine him prisoner in their said Tolbooth till farder ordor In respect Haveing been ceitted to have answered to the Councill for his contempt and high misdemanner in dispyseing the ordors and refuseing to provyde some of the Lord Carmichaell his Regiment of Dragoons in quarters when they march through that bounds hes failzied to appear and answere for the same
