Act Murray of Drumcairn

Anent the petitione given in to the Lords of their majesties privie Councell By Sir John Murray of Drumcairn Sheuing That the petitioner being formerly prisoner in the Castle of Edinburgh And Having in March Last applied to the Councell for ane Inlargement Their Lordships were pleased to favour him uith ane exchange of his Imprisonment to a Confynment at Balvaird in Fyfe and tuo mylls about it wher he hes Continoued ever since And now the petitioner Having processes of great Consequence depending before the Lords of session In which his presence is unavoydablie necessar as is nottour to some of their Lordships number And the session being now Currant and bussiness urgent And the petitioner Having alwayes Lived peacablie and is Content upon his being sett at Libertie and his Confynment taken off so as he may attend his affairs at Edinburgh or elsewher uithin the kingdome To find sufficient Caution not only to Live peacably in tyme coming but also to appear before their Lordships when called for And therfore Humblie Craving to the effect underwryten as the said petitione Bears The saids Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Having Considered the above petitione They heirby allow the petitioner to repaire to Edinburgh about his necessar affairs In respect The petitioner first before extracting heirof Hath Given bond and found sufficient Cautione acted in the books of privie Councell That he shall returne to and observe his former Confynment at the house of Balvaird and tuo mylls about the same betuixt and the tenth day of Agust nixt And not goe uithout the bounds therof And that he shall appear before the saids Lords of privie Councell when called for And in the mean tyme that he shall Live peacablie under and uith all submission to the present Government of their Majesties King William and Queen Mary And that he shall not Act Consult nor Contryve any thing in prejudice therof nor Converss or Correspond uith any rebells under the penaltie of Fyve Hundreth pounds sterling In caise he shall transgress in any pairt of the premisses
