proclamation for adjurning the parliament

William and Mary By the Grace of God King and Queen of Great Brittaine France and Ireland defenders of the faith To our Lyon King at arms and his brethren Heraulds Macers of our privie Councill Messengers at arms pursevants our shirreffs in that part Conjunctlly and severally speciallie Constitut Greeting Forasmuchas we uith advyce of the Lord of the Lords of our privie Councill did by our proclamation of the date the tuenty sixth day of december Jaj vic and nyntie thrie yeers adjurn the current Parliament of this our ancient kingdom of Scotland from the nynth day of January Last by past to the fifteenth day of March And ue Considering that the present state of our affairs in this our ancient kingdome Doeth not requyre that the members of our said Parliament should meet upon the forsaid day And ue being unuilling that they should be putt to any trouble that may be dispensed theruith Doe therfore with advyce of the Lords of our privie Councill heirby adjurne our said Current parliament untill the fifteenth day of Juny nixt to Come Heirby requyring all the Members of our parliament to attend that day in the usuall way and under the Certificationes contained in the severall Acts of Parliament made theranent Our will is Heirfore And ue Charge yow strictly and Command That Incontinent these our Letters seen ye pass to the mercat Cross of Edinburgh and to the mercat crosses of the remanent head burghs of the severall shyres of this our antient Kingdome And ther by open proclamatione make Intimatione of the Adjurning of our Parliament of this kingdome from the said fifteenth day of March Instant to the said fifteenth day of June nixt to Come And ordaines these presents to be printed Given under our signet at Edinburgh the tuelfth day of March and of our reigne the fifth year 1694 sic subscribitur ut sederunt
