Act Margrat Forbes for a stipend

Anent a Petition given in to the Lords of ther majesties privy Councill be Margrat Forbes relict of Mr Robert Rait minister at Marykirk Shewing That wher the petitioners said deceast husband haveing served the cure at the said kirk for the space of Twelue years to the satisfactione of all his parishioners untill the year Jaj vjc nyntie two that it pleased God to Call him by death and haveing left behind him severall small Childreen and litle or nothing wherupon to mantain the petitioner or them, So that the petitioner are redacted to extream want and povertie and for suplieing ther present necessities the petitioner made application to the Patron of the said kirk of Mary-Kirk for ane half years stipend viz from Whitsunday to mertmiss Jaj vjc nyntie two years Which is yet unuplifted and haveing Obtained ther Consent for uplifting and intromitting with the said half years stipend as will appear by their factory and Concent theirwith produced, yet the heritor and others Lyable in payment therof refuses to pay the same to the petitioner unles the said Lords interpose their authoritie therto And Therfore Humbly Craveing the saids Lords to Consider the premises and the indigent Conditione of the petitioner and her poor fatherles Childreen and to allow her the said half years stipend by interposeing their Lordships authoritie to the forsaid Consent of the Patron And Ordaineing letters of horning to be direct against the heritors and others Lyable in payment therof for that effects as the said petition bears The Lords of their Majesties privy Councill haveing Considered this petitione Given in to them be the above Margrat Forbes with the gift and Consent mentioned therin and produced therwith They heirby allow the petitioner the stipend of the above Kirk of Marykirk for that half year from Whitsunday to mertimes Jaj vjc nyntie two years and Ordaines her to be readiely answered obeyed and payed therof be the heritors wodsetters Lyfrenters titullars tacksmen of teynds tennents possessors and others Lyable in payment of the said half years steipend, And Ordaines Letters of horning under the signet of Councill to be direct at the petitioners instance against them for that effect upon productione of a decreet of Localitie and incace ther be no decreet of Localitie Ordaines these lyable to make payment of their respective proportiones of the said half years stipend according as the same shall be determined by the Judge ordinary.
