Liberatione Mr Thomas Gordoune

Anent the petitione given In to the Lords of their Majesties privie Councell By Mr Thomas Gordone Late Regent in the Colledge of Glasgou Sheuing That the petitioner Having now been Confyned to his fathers house these seven months bygone wherby as his health is very much Impaired and his affairs sicklyke to be utterly ruined if the restraint should Continow any Longer so which is far more Considerable to him He hath been of a Long tyme deprived of the uord and publict ordinances which Cannot but be very Greivous to any serious or sober man And seing the petitioner hath never given any disturbance to the Government and is still resolved to Live peacably And therfore Humbly Craving to the effect underwryten as the said petitione Bears The saids Lords of their Majesties privy Councell Having Considered the above petitione They heirby Inlarge the bounds of his Confynment from his fathers house at Old Aberdeen To the toune of Old Aberdeen and tuo mylls about the same In respect the petitioner before extracting heirof Hath Given bond and found sufficient Cautione acted in the books of privie Councell That he shall remaine Confyned at the said toune of Old Aberdeen and tuo mylles about the same And that he shall not goe without the bounds of his said Confynment And that he shall Live peacably under and uith all submission to the present government of their Majesties King William and Queen Mary And that he shall not Act Consult nor Contryve any thing in prejudice therof nor Converss or Correspond uith any rebells And that he shall appear before the saids Lords of privie Councell when Called for under the penaltie of tuo thousand merks scotts money In caise he shall transgress in any pairt of the premisses
