Act Taking off Mr Walter Colvills Confynment
Anent the petitione Given In to the Lords of his Majesties privie Councill Be Mr Walter Colvill sheuing That wher the petitioner Lyes under the sentence of Banishment from the City of Edinburgh wherof he does humbly acknouledge the Justice and hath alwayes been most heartily Greived for the great offence which did procure their Lordships displeasure And tho he uill not palliat much Less Justifie his transgressione yet the petitioner does sincerely profess that it was ane unpremidat Act not aggreable to the rest of the Actiones and course of his Life which the petitioner hath ever since and alwayes shall most heartily regrate And seing the petitioners residence and bussiness hath been in the City of Edinburgh and that he is pursued since his absence in processes of Importance to the petitioner which Could not be defended without Great disadvantadge unless he were alloued to attend And therfore Humbly Craving to the effect underwryten as the said petitione bears The Saids Lords of his Majesties privie Councill Having Considered this petitione Given In to them Be the above Mr Walter Colvill They doe heirby take off the sentence of banishment pronunced against the petitioner And alloues him to returne to the toune of Edinburgh or suburbs therof or any other place notwithstanding of the forsaid sentence as freely In all respects as if the same had never been Given nor pronunced And alloues the petitioners bond or Enactment to be given up
