Act The Kirk Session of Crammond

Anent the petition given in to the Lords of their Majesties privy Councill be the heritors and kirk session of Cramond Shewing That quher the presbytrie of Edinburgh by their act have appointed one of their number to be present with the petitioners upon the fourtein instant to moderat amongst them an sessione in order to the Calling of a minister And seing by the lawes and acts of parliament of this kingdome It is specially appointed that all persones who shall be admitted to signe the Call of any minister shall in the first place take the oathes of alledgence and that the said act does not determine before whom the samen is to be taken And Therfore humbly suplicating to the effect aftermentioned Which petitione being by the saids Lords of privy Councill at length Considered They heirby authorize and give Commission to Sir William Hamilton of Whytlaw one of the senators of the Collodge of Justice to administrat the oath of alledgance and assurance to the petitioners to the end abovespecified and because the said Lord Whitlaw is to vote himself in the above Call The Saids Lords of Councill Recomended to any of their oun number to administer the above oath and assurance to him Which was done accordingly before extracting heirof.
