Act anent The Indemnity 1691 as to Robberies
The Lords of their Majesties privie Councille having considered the proclamatione of indemnity of the date the tuentie seventh day of August Jaj vjc nynty and one years Together with a report of a Comittee of their owne number appoynted for Consideratione therof They find that the same doth only pardone the Crymes therin numerat viz Treasons rebelliones Robberies depradations etc. remitting the pains therof and Declareing the parties indemnified free safe and sure from the same But that it doeth not extend to debarr parties injured by the said persons from seeking restitutione of their privat damnadges especiallie in the Caices where either goods taken away are still extant; or that the away taker was locupletior factus which last they find must be understood except that the away taker prove that the goods away taken were brought into and consumed in the Camp of the enemyes for the tyme.
