Liberatione Alexander Steuart

The Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Doe heirby Give order and warrand to the Magistrats of Edinburgh baillies of the Cannongate and Keeper of their tolbooth to sett at Libertie furth therof Alexander Steuart Brother son to Steuart of Ballachan In respect before his Liberatione He hath suorne and signed the oath of alleadgance and signed the assurance appointed by Act of Parliament And also hath Given bond and found Leivtenant Collonell Alexander Steuart Cautioner therin acted in the books of their Majesties privie Councell That he shall goe abroad uith the said Leivtenant Collonell In their Majesties service in Flanders And that he shall Continow and remaine in the said service and be faithfull therin And that under the penaltie of ane Thousand merks scotts money In caise he shall transgress in any pairt of the premisses
