Anent the petition given in to the Lords of their Majesties privie Councell By Charles Earle of Home Sheuing That their Lordships In Consideration of the deplorable State of his family Having been pleased to allow his going from the Castle of Edinburgh wher he was prisoner to his oune house ther to Continou till the fifteenth of Apryle Current and ther being Litle alteration in the state of his family and his affairs very much requyring his presence in the Countrey and that their Lordships may adjurne for some tyme and therfore Humblie Craving their Lordships will be pleased to Continow his Libertie upon finding Caution not to goe over Tueed and to appear befor their Lordships when called under what penaltie your Lordships shall think fitt as the said petition bears The saids Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Having Considered the above petition They heirby allow the petitioner to Remaine Confyned at his oune house of Hirsle and tuo mylles about the same on this syde of the river of Tueed untill he be Called or requyred to appear before the Lords of privie Councell And discharges him to goe uithout the bounds of his said Confynment In respect the said Earle before extracting heirof Hath given bond and found sufficient Cautione acted in the books of privy Councell That he shall appear before the saids Lords when soever he shall be Called or requyred therto And in the mean tyme that he shall keep his said Confynment and not goe uithout the bounds of the same and that he shall Live peacably under and uith all submission to the present government of their Majesties King William and Queen Mary And that he shall not Act Consult nor Contryve any thing in prejudice therof nor shall not Converss or Correspond uith any rebells under the penaltie of ane Thousand pounds sterling In caise he shall transgress In any pairt of the premisses
