Recomendation The Lady Herbertshyre to the thesaurie

Anent a petition given in to the Lords of their Majesties privy Councill be Hellen Sinclar Lady Herbertshyre Shewing That the petitioner haveing by the saids Lords goodnes and Clemency been allowed a proportion of her oun Joynture for her aliement dureing her husbands being among the highlanders who were in armes against the government, With which aliement the petitioner did then most dutiefully accquisce But her husband haveing now by the saids Lords favor gotten allowance to receid with her and his oun small estate being all ready exhausted partly by himself and Cheifly by his sons educatione, and the puting of him in Condition to serve in the post in which he Lost his life Both in his majesties service and his veiw The petitioner hath no Competent subsistance and those who are Lyable in payment of the superplus of the petitioners small Joyntur and Scruple to pay it to the petitioner fearing they may be made Lyable for it to the publict and what she does injoy being very inconsiderable and not so much as can weell aliement both her husband and her, And the Loss of his sone Calling for a favorable Consideration from their majesties who have been far from severities to these who have not such favorable motives for their majesties bounty And Therfore Humbly Craveing the saids Lords would take the petitioners case to ther favorable Consideration and to order the small superplus of the petitioners Joyntur (which she enjoyes not by any ryt from her present husband) To be payed to the petitioner for her oun and her husbands aliement as the said petition bears The Lords of their Majesties privy Councill haveing heard and Considered the petition given in to them be the above Lady Herbertshyre They hereby Recommends to the Lords Commissioners of their majesties thesaury to Grant the desyre therof.
