Letter from the King adding the Earle of Morton to the privie Councell

The Follouing Letter Being read was ordered to be recorded And the Earle of Morton being present Did suear and signe the oath of alleadgance and signe the assurance And the Lord Chancelor Having administred to him the oath de fideli He uas receaved a privie Councelor Follouess the tenor of the Letter
Right Trustie and right wel beloved Cousine and Councelor Right trustie and intirely beloved Cousins and Councelors Right trustie and right uell beloved Cousins and Councelors right trustie and uell beloved Councelors And trustie and uell beloved Councelors We Greet yow well wheras In consideration of the Loyaltie and abilities of our right trustie and uell beloved Cousine […] Earle of Morton we have thought fitt to add him to the privie Councell of that our kingdome These are therfore to authorize and requyre yow to Receave him into that our privie Councell in the ordinary forme and method in the Lyke caises accustomed For doing wherof this shall be your warrand And so we bid yow heartily Fareuell Given att our Court at Kensingtoune the 24 day of Apryle 1694 And of our reigne the 6th year By their Majesties Command sic subscribitur J Johnstoun
