Warrand to the Lord Advocat to Call or try for Cornets Hay and Ramsay upon Killsyths petitione

The Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Having heard a petitione Given In to them Be Mr William Livingstoune of Kilsyth Craving Liberty upon bale Read in their presence And Sir Thomas Livingstoune Commander in cheiff of their Majesties forces uithin this kingdome Having Informed the Councell That Cornet Hay and Cornet Ramsay were both presently in the toune of Edinburgh And Could bear witness against the petitioner The Councell Recommended to Sir James Steuart their Majesties Advocat to Cause make tryall for these persones and report to the Councell Against Thursday nixt And in the mean tyme superceeds to Give ansuer to the petitione untill the Lord Advocat make report

Warrant to the lord advocate to call or try for Cornets Hay and Ramsay upon Kilsyth’s petition

The lords of their majesties’ privy council having heard a petition given in to them by Mr William Livingston of Kilsyth, craving liberty upon bail read in their presence, and Sir Thomas Livingstone, commander in chief of their majesties’ forces within this kingdom, having informed the council that Cornet Hay and Cornet Ramsay were both presently in the town of Edinburgh and could bear witness against the petitioner, the council recommended to Sir James Stewart, their majesties’ advocate, to cause make trial for these persons and report to the council against Thursday next, and in the meantime postpone to give answer to the petition until the lord advocate makes report
