Warrand renewed to the Commissioners and heritors of Lanerk shyre to meet and proportione Levies.
The Lords of their Majesties privy Councill Considering that upon a petition formerly given in to them be the magistrats and toune Councill of Glasgow representing that seing the Commissioners and heritors of the shyre of Lanrick doe Declair that the grounds upon which they did proceid in proportioneing the thrid part of the present Levie of foot to the burghs of the shyre was upon account, the burghs were exempted and did bear no proportione of the former horss Levies Therfore the petitioners are Content at this present exigent to bear this proportione upon the forsaid Consideratione least the present Levie be retarded They the saids Lords of privy Councill be ther deliverance of the date the twentie seventh day of February last have allowed and appointed the above Commissioners and heritors to meet at ane certaine place and upon ane Certaine day and to take the petition to their Consideratione and make such a setlement of the petitioners Just proportions, as may prevent all debates in time comeing, And to proportione the present foot Levie betwixt the burghs of Glasgow Lannerk and Rutherglen and the saids Commissioners haveing failled to meet at the day and place above appointed The Councill did appoint them a new dyet and place of meeting wherin a they are informed They have also faillied And Therfore the saids Lords Doe heirby peremptorly appoint and Ordaine the above Commissioners and heritors to meet at […] Upon the […] to the effect and with power given to them by the forsaid interloquitor of Councill of the twentie seventh of February last And ordaines letters of horning to be direct at the instance of […] against the saids Commissioners and heritors for Charging them to meet at the place upon the day and to the effect abovementioned and the horning to be on six dayes.
