The Laird of Touch Committed prisoner

Anent the petition given in to the Lords of his Majesties privie Councill By James Seton of Touch Sheuing That wher the petitioner has been very valitudinary these many years And not able to travell abroad to Goe about his oun Necessar affairs and has been under Bale these severall years And has aluayes Lived peacably without the Least disturbance to the Government or Grounds of Jealousie And being now brought prisoner to Edinburgh And therefore humblie Craving their Lordships would Consider the petitioners Condition of health And seing that he is now Come upon surprisall without the Least provision And is at present very unuell After his Journey And that their Lordships would Confyne the petitioner to his Chamber in Nyddries wynd in Mistress Nicolsons for some dayes till their Lordships shall take furder tryall And the petitioner shall find sufficient Caution not to remove from thence until their Lordships Grant Liberty as the said petition Bears The Saids Lords of his Majesties privie Councill having Considered this petitione given in to them By James Seton of Touch They heirby refuse the desyre therof And ordaines the Commander of the party In whose Custody the petitioner is to Committ him to the tolbooth of Edinburgh and Keeper of their tolbooth to receave and Detaine him prisoner till farder order.
