The letter underwryten from the King to the Councill being read was ordered to be recorded follows the letter sic suprascribitur William Rex Right trusty and right wel beloved Cousin and Councillor Right trusty and intirely beloved Cousin and Councillor Right trusty and right wel beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trusty and welbeloved Cousins and Councillors Right trusty and welbeloved Cousins and Councillors Right trusty and welbeloved Councillors and trusty and welbeloved Councillors we greet you well whereas We have allowed Master Livingstoune of Kilsyth To returne to that our ancient Kingdome It is our will and pleasure That you take such baill and security of him as you shall judge fitt for his peaceable Liveing and behaviour and for his appearing before you when called for doeing quherof this shall be your warrant so we bid you heartily farewell Given at our Court at Kensingtone the sexteen day of December Jaj vjc nynty and fyve and of our Reigne the seventh year By his majesties Command sic subscribitur J Johnstoune
