Recommendation In favours of Captain Hamilton

Anent the petitione given in to the Lords of his Majesties privie Councell By Captain Gavine Hamilton sheuing That wher the petitioner being apprehended in his Chamber at the tavern of the Reid Lyon the third Instant And Immediatly therafter was Committed to the Cannongate Tolbooth In which he hes Continoued ever since wherby his health is become greatly Impaired He being valetudinary (as is nottourly knouen) And Having nothing to sustaine and aliment himself And since it was knouen of severall of their Lordships That the petitioner ever since the Revolutione hes Lived peacably and quietly under the Government And Therfor Humbly Craving their Lordships to take the premisses to their serious Consideration And to order the petitioner aither to be sett at Libertie or to allow him ane aliment as their Lordships shall think fitt, as the said petition bears The saids Lords of his Majesties privie Councell Having Considered this petitione given in to them by the above Captain Gavin Hamilton They heirby Recommend to the Lords Commissioners of his Majesties Thesaury to allow the petitioner such ane Aliment as they shall find Competent from the day and date heirof
