Order

[Cess and pole money in Fife]

The Councill considering That the Collecting of the Cess and pole money in the shyre of Fyfe conforme to the old valuatione of that Shyre is alreadie determined by severall interloquitors of Councill and payment made conforme by severall of the Heretors and others within the said shyre and that any suspensione which may be offered before the Lords of Sessione at the instance of ane particular partie cannot be ane obstructione and hinderance to The Collecting the Kings Revenue and can noe wayes be found upon the interest of a private right Therfore Recommends to the Lord high Chancellor to acquaint the Lords of Sessione that the doe not interpose to put any stop to the uplifting of the Cess and pole money of the Shyre of Fyfe by any suspensione or reductione at the instance of private parties before them Therby to hinder the executione of the interloquitors of privy Councill alreadie pronounced and published theranent and that untill the fyfteenth day of March next.
