[Seizing horses]

The Lords of his majesties privie Counsell Doe heirby appoint ther clerks to raise and give out Letters at the instance of Sir James Stewart his majesties advocat against all Shirreffs of Shyres magistrats of Burghs and others who by act of parliament anent seaseing horses and armes from persones not qwalified and the proclamatione of Counsell following therupon are appointed to sease the saids horses and armes and to make ther report to the Counsell and have faillzed for citeing the saids Shirreffs magistrats and others foirsaids to give in ther reports in the said mater to the Counsell Betuixt and […] And for chargeing of each Shirreff and ther foirsaids to make payment to his majesties generall receaver of the Soume of five Hundereth merks a piece And that upon the […] in caice they faillie to give in the report of his Shyre betuixt and the said day under the paine of rebellione and als for chargeing All Shirreffs of Shyres magistrats of Burghs and others foirsaids who conforme to the act of parliament for seasing of horses and armes of persones not qwalified and proclamatione of Counsell following theron Have seazed any armes to cause transport the armes seazed by them to any of the garrisones of Edinburgh Stirleing Dumbarton Blacknes Innernes or Dwnnottar to be made furthcomeing to the service of his majestie And the government whensoever the same shall be called for And allowes The Letters which Shall be raised heiron to be printed And appointes the clerks of privie Counsell to Signe the printed Letters And to affix the Signet of Counsell to the same
