Protectione Bannatyne of Kaims

Anent the petitione Given In to the Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Be Hector Bannatyne of Kaimes Sheuing That wher He being Conveened before their Lordships at the instance of Thomas Crawfurd of Carssburne for ane pretended ryott alleadged Committed be the petitioner Against him in March last And altho the samen hes depended before their Lordships since June Last And that the probatione adduced therin by the pursuar was taken a month agoe and ready to be advysed by their Lordships And that the petitioner hes applyed severall tymes to their Lordships for that effect and hes attended still here since June last yet the samen hes been still shifted and delayed by the pursuar off purpose to vex and oppress the petitioner and the other defenders called in the said process and to putt him to unnecessary charges and expensses And seing the petitioner is under dilligence by Captione at Carssburne his Instance for that particular debt bought in by Carssburne Against him and at the Instance of some other persones his Creditors and that the protectione formerly allowed by their Lordships to the petitioner was expyred yesterday And so Cannot attend the Calling and discussing of the said process nor returne safely home after the samen Is ended unless the saids Lords renue the said protectione And therfore Humbly Craving to the effect underwryten as the said petitione Bears The saids Lords Having Considered the above petitione They doe heirby Grant personall protectione to the petitioner untill the tuenty sixth day of this Instant Inclusive That he may advyse the depending of the process depending before the saids Lords at the Instance of the said Thomas Craufurd of Carssburn Against Him And discharges all Judges Magistrats and messengers at armes officers in burgh or Landuard to putt any Letters of Captione Acts of warden or other personall dilligence to executione Against the said petitioner untill the forsaid day Excepting alwayes their Majesties rents and publict dues sic subscribitur Tueeddale cancel: Southerland Linlithgou Leven Annandall Tarbat Raith Rossh Beilhaven Poluarth William Master of Forbes
