Forefaulture of Lues Hays Bond
Their Majesties High Commissioner and Lords of privy Counsell Doe Heirby declare the soume of ane Hundred pounds sterline of penaltie contained in a bond Granted be Lues Hay Late Cornett to Sir Thomas Livingstoune as principall and John Murray brother Germane to Patrick Murray of Livingstoune as Cautioner dated the seventeenth day of Apryle Jaj vic and nyntie one years For the said Lues Hay his peacable behaviour and appearance before the Councell when called for To be Incurred In regaird both principall and Cautioner Have faillzied in observing the tenor of the said bond And Have faillzied to Compear before the Councell albeit they be charged to that effect And therfore they forefault the said pennaltie And decernes and ordaines the said principall and Cautioner as said is to make payment to Sir Thomas Muncreiff of that ilk Collector of their Majesties Croune rents for their Majesties use of the said penaltie And ordaines Letters of Horning on six dayes to be direct heiron and others needfull In forme as effeirs
