The Letter underwreitten from the King to the Councill being read wes ordered to be recorded wherof the tenor followes […] sic suprascribitur William Rex Right trustie and Right well beloved Cousigne and Councillour Right trustie and Intirely beloved Cousines and Councillours Right trustie etc etc wee greet yow well whereas by our Letter of the […] day of Februarij Last wee ordered yow to adjourne our current parliament to the sixth day of Apryll next and whereas wee are informed that such frequent adjournments hath begott ane opinion That our parliament is not to meet which makes the members more Slow to come at the tyme appoynted And therefore a tymous and positive advertisement is necessary It is our Will and pleasure And we doe hereby authorize and requyre yow to Issue furth aneother proclamatione in our name ordering ane adjournment of our said parliament to the Eighteinth day of the said moneth of Apryll next to come At which tyme ue are fully resolved our parliament shall meet And therefor ordaining all the members thereof to attend precisely that day in the usuall way and upon the accustomed certificationes For doeing whereof this shall be your warrand And so wee bidd yow heartily Farewell Given at our court at Kensingtoun the one and tuenty day of march Jaj vjc nynty three And of our reigne the fyfth year By his majestyes Command Sic Subscribitur James Johnstoune
