Imprisonment Captaine Broune
The uhich day Captain John Broune who is under bale before the Lords of privie Councell That he shall Live peacably under their Majesties government and appear before the Councell when called for Being charged upon his bond as said is And Having appeared accordingly and refuised to suear and signe the oath of alleadgance and subscribe the assurance to their Majesties appoynted by Act of parliament Their Majesties High Commissioner and Lords of privie Councell Doe heirby ordaine the said Captain John Broune to be Carryed prisoner from the Councell barr to the tolbooth of Edinburgh And Gives ordor and uarrand to the magistrats of Edinburgh and keeper of their tolbooth to receave the said Captaine into the same and detaine him prisoner therin till farder order of Councell And in respect of the said John his Insolent expressions before the Lord High Commissioner and Lords of privie Councell ordaines the saids magistrats and keeper to putt him in the Irons and keep them upon him till farder ordor And Grants warrand to the Clarks of Councell to delyver up the bond Granted be the said Captaine Broune and his Cautioners dated the tuenty nynth day of december Jaj vic nyntie one and nynth day of January Jaj vic nyntie tuo years
