Recomendatione To the Thesaurie anent Mcnaughtons house dues.

The Lords of Ther Majesties privy Councill Haveing by ther act of the date the fifth day of December instant ordered John Mcnaughton prisoner in the Canongate Tolbooth taken at Cromdall to be sett at libertie upon enacting himself in maner as is therby appointed, And being informed that James Hamilton keeper of the Canongate Tolbooth does still detaine the prisoner for payment of his house dues, The saids Lords doe heirby Ordaine the said James Hamilton to sett the said John Mcnaught[on] at Libertie free of house dues, and Recomends the said James Hamilton to the Lords Commissioners of their majesties thesaury for payment of the said house dues
