Att Edinburgh the Sixteinth Day off Februarij Jaj vjc nyntie three years

Warrant

Warrand to the magistrats of Edinburgh to delyver four prisoners to Captain Gordone to be souldiers

The Lords of there Majesties privie Councill doe hereby give order and warrand to the Magistrates of Edinburgh and Keeper of there tolbooth to delyver Thomas Stewart Peter Welsh John Reid and John Park presently prisoners in the said tolbooth for the crymes mentioned in the Indytement raised at the Instance of there Majesties advocat against them To Captain William Gordone in the Earle of Levens regiment of foot in there majesties service in Flanders To be by him Carryed abroad as souldiers in there majesties service in the said regiment2 In respect the saids Thomas Stewart Peter Welsh John Reid and John Park have enacted themselves in the books of privie Councill that they shall goe abroad as souldiers with the said Captain in the said service And that they shall never returne to this Kingdome under the paine of death For which This shall be a sufficient warrand for all Concerned and recomends the Keeper of the tolbooth to the Lords Commissioners of there majesies Theasury for the prisoners house dues.
