Decreet absolvitor Mr Adam Waddell

The which day Mr Adam Waddell minister at Whitsome one of the ministers in Berwickshyre persewed by the sollicitor in the Lybell at his Instance againest the ministers in that shyre not prayeing for there majesties Conforme to the ordinance of Councill of the date the nynteinth of Januarij Instant Did give in a paper signed be him Containing the forme of his praying for there Majesties And being called to the Councill barr did signe a paper in face of Councill whereby he declares and promises to pray for there Majesties King William and Queen Mary as King and Queen of Scotland which being considered be the saids Lords They have assolzies and hereby assolzies the said Mr Adam Waddell from the poynts and articles of the Lybell raised againest him And declares him quyte thereof and free there frae.

Decreet

Decree of absolvitor for Mr Adam Waddell

The which day Mr Adam Waddell, minister at Whitsome, one of the ministers in Berwickshire pursued by the solicitor in the libel at his instance against the ministers in that shire not praying for their majesties according to the ordinance of council of 19 January instant, gave in a paper signed by him containing the form of his praying for their majesties, and being called to the council bar, did sign a paper in face of council whereby he declares and promises to pray for their majesties King William and Queen Mary as king and queen of Scotland, which being considered by the said lords, they have absolved and hereby absolve the said Mr Adam Waddell from the poits and articles of the libel raised against him, and declare him quit thereof and free therefrom.
