Act For payment of Meldrum and Burnetts witneses

The Lords of their Majesties privy Councill Doe heirby Decerne and Ordaine John Urquhart of Meldrum and Alexander Burnet Chamberland to Sir Thomas Burnet of Leyes To make payment to the witnesses afternamed2 And Compeiring in the mutuall processes raised hic inde at their instances before the Lords of the soume of Eight shilling scots money per diem for each footman and sixtein shilling scots per diem for each horssman dureing the spaces following viz The said John Urquhart of Meldrum to make payment and Satisfactione to Patrick Smith in Old Meldrum Androw Hutchisone their Alexander Gray their William Cochar their Samuell Smith their James Simpson their Robert Shirreff ther Patrick Barnzie ther Adam Gordon in Old Meldrum Thomas Simpsone ther and James Chrystie ther of the respective soumes forsaids frae the tenth day of February last to the fourteinth day of March instant, And the said Alexander Burnet to make payment and satisfactione to Mr William Chamber3At Inverurie, Adam Pantoune in Mcterrie James Leslie in Old Meldrum Buchan Thomas Simpson in Old Meldrum, Alexander Brown their And William Teviotdale ther of the like Soumes frae the third day of February last by past to the said Fourtein day of march instant, And the said Alexander Burnet to make payment to William Perrie in Old Balvenie of the Like Soumes frae the thrid day of February last to the tenth day of the said moneth And the saids John Urquhart of Meldrum and Alexander Burnett equally betwixt them to make payment to the said William of the like soume frae the said tenth day of February last to the said Fourteinth day of march instant And Ordaines the said John Uqurhart and Alexander Meldrum to make payment of the soumes forsaids betwixt and the morrow at ten in the forenoon And in caise the saids John Urquhart and Alexander Burnet faillie in payment as said is Ordaines the Macers of privy Councill to apprehend ther persones and Comitt them prisoners to the Tolbooth of Edinburgh till the said soumes be payed.
