Comittie anent The magistrats of Aberdeen and the Regents and Schollars of the Collodges

Lybell the magistrats of Aberdein against the masters regents and schollars of the old and new Collodges with the Lybell of Reconvention The saids masters and regents against the magistrats being called and provest Cochran and baillie Mitchell two of the pursuars in the principall Lybell and defenders in the Reconventione Compeiring personally with Sir Patrick Home Sir James Ogilvie and Mr David Forbes their advocats and the masters and regents of the saids two Collodges defenders in the principall Lybell and pursuars in the reconvention Compeiring also personally and […] Davidson of Balgai Alexander Mylne Hary and Samuell Strattones John Ogilvie Robert Taylor William Lyall John Falconar George Mckillan, Angus and William Lindsay students also defenders in the principall Lybell Compeiring also personally with Sir Robert Colt Sir David Thores, Mrs Heugh Dalrymple and William Hoge advocats and the rest of the defenders in the principall Lybell, And also the defenders in the reconvention except provest Cochran and baillie Mitchell being absent called and not Compeiring The principall Lybell and answers therto for the masters and regents and likewayes the answers for John Ogilvie, William Lyell Robert Taylor Henry and Samuell Straittones Alexander Mylne John Falconar and Patrick Hay schollars and alse the Lybell of Reconventione and answers therto being all read and the advocats for both parties heard Their majesties high Commissioner and the Lords of privy Councill Doe admitt both Lybells to probatione And the witnesses in either Lybells such of them as Compeired at the barr as is marked on the rolls haveing mad faith Recomends to the Earles of Argyll and Anandale and the Lords thesaurer depute and Carmichell, Polwarth, and Enstruther to examine the witnesses upon either Lybell, And Reserves all Objectiones which may be made against the witnesses to be proponed and discust before the Comittie And Recomends to the said Comittie to meett on Saturday nixt at nyne in the forenoon, And Declaires any thrie of them to be a sufficient quorum.
