Warrand for Imprisoning The Viscount of Frendraught
The uhich day The Viscount of Frendraught who is under bale to the Councell That He shall Live peacably under their Majesties Government and appear before the Councell when called for Being charged upon his bond to appear as said is and And Having appeared accordingly And the Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Considering that the said Late Viscount of Frendraught is forefaulted by the parliament for being in rebellione Against their Majesties and is popish They Heirby ordaine the said Late viscount to enter himself prisoner uithin the Castle of Stirline betuixt and the third day of Jully nixt Ther to remaine prisoner till farder ordor And ordaines Leivt Coll John Erskine deputy Governour of the said castle and in his absence the nixt Commanding officer ther to receave the said Late viscount into the said castle and detaine him therin during the space forsaid And in respect The Lord Strathnaver sitting at the Councell board did verbally in face of Councell Become bale for the said late viscount That he shall Enter himself prisoner in the said castle betuixt and the day forsaid under the penaltie of fyve hundred pounds Sterlin The said viscount was sent from the board And the saids Lords Gives warrand to the Clarks of Councell to give up the bond formerly Granted be him and Hendry Pattoune of Boghall his Cautioner for his peacable behaviour and appearance when called for Containing the penaltie of fyve hundred pounds sterline dated the […] day of […]
