Liberatione James Andersone

Anent the petitione given In to the Lords of their Majesties Privie Councell Be Charles Dallas vintner In Edinburgh Sheuing That wheras James Andersone Cook to the petitioner Hath been Conveened before their Lordships as having accessione to the late tumult in the city of Edinburgh And tho nothing Speciall was lybelled against him In their Lordships Letters yet by a mistake He uas uith others Against whom Crimes were Specially condescended upon and proven Remitted to the Courte of Justice and is detained in prisone To the petitioners great prejudice who under the Greatest paine offers when by their Lordships called therto To prove not only his Innocence As to the being accessorie to the forsaid tumult but that he was confyned to the precinct of the petitioners duelling house In the exercise of his Imployment that whole afternoon from fyve a clock at night and dounward And therfore Humbly Craving to the effect under wryten as the said petitione Bears The Saids Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Having Considered this petitione given In to them Be the above Charles Dallas They heirby Give ordor and uarrand to the Magistrats of Edinburgh and Keeper of their tolbooth To sett at Liberty Furth therof the above James Andersone present prisoner For which this shall be their uarrand
