Order

Recomendatione to the Lord Chancellour anent witnesses against Earl of Sieforth and Lord Fraser

The Lords of there Majesties privie Councill In order to the Carryeing on of the process againest the Earle of Sieforth and Lord Fraser doe hereby recomend to the Lord High Chancellour of Scotland to Issue furth orders to the shirreffs and there deputts of the respective bounds where any of the witnesses to be adduced in the said process are, or doe reside to take sufficient security of them by bond that they shall appear personally Conforme to the Citationes given them or if they refuse, To seize upon and secure the persones of the saids witnesses And cause transport them from Shirreff to Shirreff under a sufficient guaird to Edinburgh and delyver them to the magistrates thereof And farder to Issue furth orders to the Comanding officers of the forces within the said bounds to furnish the said guairds necessaries And appoints the said magistrats and Keeper of there tolbooth to receave these witnesses and detain them prisoners within the said tolbooth untill farder order of Councill And appoints the forsaids bonds to be transmitted to the Clerks of privie Councill Imediatly after the same shall be taken
