Warrand for Levyeing Lord Strathnavers and Collonel Moncreiffs regiment

The Lords of there majesties privie Councill In obedience to and prosecutione of his majesties2 Commands Contained in a Letter under his Royall hand of the date the […] day of […] direct to them Requyreing them to allow drums to be beat for Levyeing tuo regiments of foot The one under the Command of […] Lord Strathnaver And the other under the Command of Sir James Moncreiff to be transported hence for there majesties service in Ireland Doe herby allow and grant warrand to the said Lord Strathnaver and Sir James Moncreiff and3 respective officers under them to Levy alse many men as will make up there said Regiment and Compleat the same And for that effect To take on such persones as are willing to engadge in the forsaid service And to beat drums within the burgh of Edinburgh and all other burghes or places within this Kingdome for that end And ordaines all the Magistrats of burghes and other Magistrates and ministers of the Law within this realme To give there Concurrance to the saids officers for Levyeing the above tuo regiments And Compleating the samen And for secureing such persones as shall willingly engadge and take on in the saids regiments and to allow the officers the benefite of there prisones for such as shall engadge the officers alwayes mantaining such persones as they shall committ to the saids prisones.
