Anent a Petition given in to the Lords of their Majesties privy Councill be The Patron and heritors of the parish of Auchterderand In favors of Katharin Foster relict of umquhill Mr Thomas Kinnimounth parson of Auchterderand in the shyre of Fyfe Shewing That the forsaid poor widdow was left with five fatherless Childrein, And thrie of which not able to put on their oun Cloathes and from the affection that the saids Lordships petitioners bears to the minister who served the cure amongst them about tuentie years and from the affectione they bear to his poor widdow and fatherless Childrein The act of Parliament bearing that vaccand stipends should be Charitably Imployed And the petitioner not knowing greater objects of Charitie then this poor widdow and her fatherless Childrein Does Humbly Supplicat that the vaccant year in their parish being the year Jaj vjc Eightie Eight might be allowed to the said widdow for supply of her and her fatherless Childrein And Therfore Craveing warrand to pay the samen unto her as the petitione bears The Lords of their Majesties Privy Councill Haveing Considered this petition given in to them be the Patron and heritors of the kirk of Auchterderen and which is subscryved be them, They heirby Allow to the above Katharin Forrester the stipend of the said kirk for the cropt and year of god Jaj vjc Eightie Eight years For the releiff of her self and fatherless Childrein And Ordaines her to be readiely answered obeyed and payed therof be the heritors fewars wodsetters and others Lyable in payment of the same, And ordaines letters of horning under the signet of a decreet of Locallitie, And in case ther be non Ordaines these Lyable to make payment to the said Catharin Forester of their respective proportiones of the said stipend according as they shall be Decerned be the Judge ordinary.
