Act The Relict and Childrein of Doctor Lyon.

Anent a Petition given in to the Lords of their Majesties privy Councill be Jean Orrack relict of the deceast Doctor Gilbert Lyon late minister of Kinghorne in name of her Childrein Shewing That the petitioner haveing ane claime for the behoove of her Childrein to half ane years vaccand stipend after the death of her said husband and that by the consent and gifts of the Earle of Strathmore Undoubted patron of the said church which not withstanding remaines still unpayd in the hands of the heritors and others Lyable in payment therof to the great Loss of the petitioner and her fatherless Childrein And the heritors being Content upon upon the warrand of ane act of privy Councill to make payment to the petitioner Considering how favorable the case is And that her said husband spent many years so Comendably in his ministrie among them And Therfore Humbly Craveing the saids Lords to Grant the petitioners ane full right for he behoove forsaid That by the saids Lords act she might Call for and uplift the said half years vaccand stipend viz the last half of the cropt Jaj vjc Eightie five years which hapned betwixt her husbands death and the entrie of his successor Mr Patrick Lyon now Minister of Kinghorne and to direct letters of horning etc if need bees for that effect as the petition bears The Lords of their majesties privy Councill haveing Considered the petition given in to them be Jean Orrock relict of the deceast Doctor Gilbert Lyon late minister of Kinghorne in name of her Childrein with the subscryved Consent of the Earl of Strathmore Patron of the said kirk written upon the end of the said petition They heirby Allow to the petitioner for the behoove of her Childrein the stipend of the said kirk of Kinghorne for the last half of the cropt and year of god Jaj vjc Eightie five And Ordaines her to be readiely answered obeyed and payed therof be the heritors fewars wodsetters and others Lyable in payment of the Same, And Ordaines letters of horning under the Signet of Councill at her instance against them for that effect The petitioner allwayes produceing a Decreet of Localitie And in case ther be non Ordaines these Lyable to make payment to her of their respective proportiones of the said half years stipend according as they shall be Decerned by the Judge ordinary, And the saids Lords Doe heirby Declair the recepts or Discharges which shall be granted be the petitioner herself to be a sufficient exoneration to the persones Lyable in any part off the said stipend.
