Uarrand For Imprisoning Sir William Bruce in Stirline Castle
Their Majesties High Commissioner and Lords of privie Councell Considering That Sir William Bruce of Kinross who being appoynted to be cited to Compear before their Lordships Hes this day Compeared And being requyred to suear and signe the oath of alleadgance and subscribe the assurance Conforme to the Act of parliament Refuised soe to doe Therfore their Majesties High Commissioner and Lords of privie Councell Doe Heirby ordaine the said Sir William Bruce to Enter himself prisoner uithin the castle of Stirline betuixt and the fowrteenth day of June Instant Inclusive And alloues him to be at liberty untill that tyme In respect He hes Given his parroll of honour that He shall Enter himself prisoner in the said castle att the tyme forsaid And ordaines Leivtennant Collonell Erskine deputy Governour of the castle of Stirline and in his absence the nixt Commanding officer ther to receave the said Sir William prisoner therin and detaine him in the said castle till furder ordor of Councell And to allow his Lady and a servant uoman for her and a servant man for Sir William to remaine uith him at night The said Deputie Governour being alwayes ansuerable for his safe custody And declares he is not to be closs prisoner
