Proclamatione superceeding the monthly fast
William and Mary By the Grace of god King and Queen of Great Brittane France and Ireland defenders of the faith To […] Macers of our privie Councell messengers at armes our shirreffs in that part Conjunctly and severally specially Constitut Greeting Forasmuchas by the first Act of the Last sessione of this our Currant Parliament a day of solemne fasting and 2 Humiliation was appointed to be observed by all persones uithin this kingdome upon the third teusday of every month untill Intimatione of Forbearance showld be made be the Lords of our privie Councell And ue Considering the seasone of the year being farr spent It may be Convenient to superceed the observing of the said Fast after this month of september Therfore ue uith advyce of our privie Councell Doe Heirby Certifie and Give Intimatione to all our Leidges That the said fast and Humiliation Is only to be observed upon the third teusday of this Currant month of september and to be superceeded and forborne for afteruard And to the effect our pleasure in the premisses may be Knouen our uill is hierfore And ue Charge yow strictly and Command That Incontinent these our Letters seen ye pass to the mercat cross of Edinburgh and whole other mercat Crosses of the Head burghs of the severall shyres and stewartries uithin this Kingdome And ther be open proclamatione make publicatione of the premisses That none pretend ignorance And ordaines these presents to be printed Given under our signet at Edinburgh the seventh day of September and of our reigne the fifth year 1693 sic subscribitur Tueeddale cancell Drumlangrig Southerland Linlithgow Leven Forfar Tarbat Raith Beilhaven Will: Master of Forbes Adam Cockburn John Lauder
