Act

Act appoynting the Kings troops and Sir Thomas Livingtouns dragoons to take provisions from the Comissary and pay him therefore

The Lords of there Majesties privie Councill Requyre and Command the Comanding officer upon the place for the tyme of the majesties troops of guairds and the Commanding officer of the regiment of dragoons under the Command of Sir Thomas Livingstoun Comander In cheiff of there Majesties forces within this Kingdome to receave from the Commissarie appoynted by the Lords of Theasury conforme to his Majesties order to them thereanent all provisiones of oats straw and grass necessarie for the saids horses and dragoons conforme to the proclamatione emitted thereanent of the dait the fourteenth day of Februarij Instant And to find sufficient security and Caution to the said Commissary betuixt and the Last of this moneth for makeing payment to him monethly of the saids provisiones to be furnished to them be the Commissarie in the same way and maner from tyme to tyme As the officers of the dragoons upon the scotts establishment makes payment to the Commissarie for the provisiones they receave at there perrill And ordaines the Commissarie to report to the Lords of there majesties Theasury ane account of the security he shall receave in this effair And appoints Sir James Leslie Commander in cheiff for the tyme of there majestyes forces within this Kingdome to make Intimatione hereof to the pairtyes concerned.
