Repryve Uilliam Aird

Anent the petitione Given In to the Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Be William Aird souldier in Captain Dahhens Company now prisoner in the tolbooth of Edinburgh Sheuing That wheras their Lordships Having been pleased to Grant the petitioner a Repryvall from the sentence of death pronunced Against him for Having accessione to the death of Agnas Bayne spouse to Alexander Bisset And that to the first Councell day of november nixt To the effect that betuixt and that tyme The petitioner might apply to the King for a Remissione And his Majestie Having but lately Come over so that the petitioner had not the opportunity to apply to his Majestie for obtaining a Remissione And therfore Humbly Craving their Lordships may be pleased to prorogat the Repryvall for the space of tuo or three months that the petitioner may have tyme to apply to his Majesty for a Remissione as the said petitione Bears The saids Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Having Considered this petitione Given In to them Be the above William Aird They Heirby Repryve the petitioner from the sentence of death pronunced be the Lords Commissioners of Justiciary Against him till the first ordinary Councell day in February nixt to Come And discharges the magistrats of Edinburgh and all others Concerned from putting the said sentence to executione till the said day be elapsed For which this shall be a sufficient warrand And appoyntes Intimatione heirof to be made to the Magistrats of Edinburgh sic subscribitur Tueeddale cancel.
