Letter from the Kings majestie for adjourning the parliament
A Letter from the Kings majestie3 to the Councill for adjourning the parliament to the sixth of Apryll Read and ordered to be recorded whereof the tenor followes Sic suprascribitur William Rex Right trustie and Right well beloved Cousine and Councillour Right trustie and Intirely beloved Cousines and Councillours Right trustie andc wee greet yow well whereas by our former Letter daited at Kensingtoun the […] day of Januarij last wee did authorize and requyre yow to emitt a proclamatione for adjourning our Current parliament from the tenth day of this instant moneth of Februarij unto the first day of March next to come And now In regaird that our effairs doe not requyre the meeting of our said parliament so soon Therefor It is our will and pleasure And wee doe hereby authorize and requyre yow furthwith to emitt a proclamatione for adjourning our said parliament from the said first day of March untill the sixth day of Apryll thereafter Requyreing all the members thereof to give there punctuall attendance at Edinburgh upon that day in the accustomed maner And under the ordinary certificationes For doeing whereof This shall be your warrand And so wee bidd yow heartily farewell Given at our court at Kensingtoun the tuenty first day of Februarij Jaj vjc nyntie tuo/three And of our Reigne the Fourth year By His Majesties Command Sic subscribitur John Dalrymple
