Act and deprivation Mr William Wood
Anent the petitione Given in to the Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Be Mr William Wood sometyme minister of the Gospell at Dunninna Sheuing That ther being a Criminall Lybell raised against some Ministers in Fyff for not Conforming in all things to the present established government The petitioner was Included in the said lybell And being a single man unmarried who had noe family He was not at home when the Citatione was Laid on at his house which was upon the wedensday to appear before the Councell the very nixt day And he is Content to make faith that the Citatione never came to his hands and that he had noe knouledge of it till the day of Compearance was elapsed And being Informed that the sentence of Councell against such ministers as did appear in his Circumstances was the discharging them the exercise of their ministrie uithin their severall paroches And Certificatione being past against him The petitioner Conceaved the meaning of that Certificatione had been the same And In dutifull Complyance theruith He hes ever since observed all that was decerned Against these who did Compear and receave sentence And hes Lived and uill Live In all quietnes But seing that upon his not appearing (which was Impossible for him to doe) He hath been declared and denunced fugitive And that Captione hath been given out against him And therfore Humbly Craving to the effect underwryten as the said petitione Bears The Saids Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Having Considered this petitione given in to them Be the above Mr William Wood They Heirby Repone the petitioner Against the above Certificatione and all that hes followed theron And alloues him to be relaxed frae the horne And Recalls the former ordor of Councell Given for apprehending his persone And discharges the putting of the same in executione And the petitioner being brought to the Councell Barr acknouledged He had not prayed for their Majesties King William and Queen Mary and refuised to Ingadge to pray for the future Therfore The Saids Lords depryves him of his benefice att the said kirk of Dallmuno And declares his kirk vaccant And ordaines him to remove from his manse and Gleib of the said paroch at the terme of Candlemes nixt to Come And discharges him to exercise any part of his ministeriall functione uithin the said paroch
