Committie upon the proposall for securing trade Against french Capers

The Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Having Considered a propositione offered by the merchants for securing their trade and trading ships Against the french Capers They Heirby Recommend to the Earls of Linlithgow and Annandale The Lord Raith Viscount Tarbat Lord Polluarth and Sir Thomas Livingstoune To meet and consider the necessity of the proposall with what other overtures may be offered for the preservatione and safetie of trade And declare any three of the above Committie to be a Quorum And Recommends to them to meet in the afternoon
