Anent the petitione Given In to the Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Be James Deuar merchant in Perth Sheuing That wher He having ane process depending at his instance before their Lordships against Charles Dobbie and others in Perth And they Having not only raised Captiones against the petitioner for small and Inconsiderable soumes Though they Have arreasted money and Imbazled Goods belonging to the petitioner ten tymes the value of the debts he oues them But also Have Instigat others of his Creditors to raise Captiones against the petitioner though he hath their promise of Forbearance wher through He and his poor family Is in danger of utter ruine unless their Lordships be pleased in Justice to provyde remeid And therfore Humbly Craving their Lordships seriously to Consider the premisses and Grant him personall protectione during the dependence of the forsaid process as their Lordships uses in Justice to doe in the lyke cases as the said petitione Bears The saids Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Having Considered this petitione Given In to them Be the above James Deuar They Heirby Grant personall protectione to the petitioner untill the seventh day of November nixt to Come Inclusive That he may attend the discussing of the said process And discharges all Judges Magistrats messengers at armes or officers uithin burgh or Landuard To putt any Letters of Captione Acts of warding or other personall dilligence to executione Against the said James Deuar untill the forsaid day Excepting alwayes their Majesties rents and publict dues sic subscribitur Tueeddale cancell Drumlangrig Southerland Rossh Poluarth James Steuart Adam Cockburn W Anstruther Ludovick Grant
