Comitee anent tumults and Cockburn and Calder
The Lords of there majesties privie Councill doe hereby recomend to the Comittee formerly appoynted anent the dissorders Amongst the schollars of the Colledge of Edinburgh To make enquirie into yesternights tumult within the toun And to consider and Call upon methods fitt for suppressing the same And preventing the Lyke in tyme comeing And Lykewayes to examine Doctor […] Cockburn and Mr Robert Calder tuo depryved ministers anent the manifesto collectiones and others found amongst or discovered by Mr Calders papers which are seized upon And to make report to the Councill in both the above effairs And Lykewayes in that effair anent the Colledge againest there next meeting And adds the Earle of Melvill Lord privie seall, Lord Advocat and Sir Thomas Livingstoun Comander in cheiff of there majesties forces within this Kingdom for the tyme to the said comittee And declares any fyve of the abovenamed persones to be a sufficient quorum
