Warrand to the Comittee to offer Lyfe and Limb to Serjeant William Faa

The Lords of there Majesties privie Councill doe hereby authorize and Impower the Comittee of Councill appoynted yesterday for examining the persones anent the robbing of Sir John Clerk of Penniecook his house And anent what robbers they know and what Combinatione they know to be amongst these robbers To Give assureance of Lyfe and Limb to Serjeant William Faa who is seized for robbing the said house In case he shall make a clear and full discovery of the persones who robbed the said house And who frequently robb up and doun the Countrey And of the Society entered into by robbers and theeves in this Kingdome And what further he knowes anent theeves and robbers and anent this and any other robbery.

Warrant to the committee to offer life and limb to Serjeant William Faa

The lords of their majesties’ privy council hereby authorise and empower the committee of council appointed yesterday for examining the persons concerning the robbing of Sir John Clerk of Penicuik’s house and what robbers they know and what combination they know to be amongst these robbers, to give assurance of life and limb to Serjeant William Faa who is seized for robbing the said house in case he shall make a clear and full discovery of the persons who robbed the said house and who frequently rob up and down the country, and of the society entered into by robbers and thieves in this kingdom and what further he knows concerning thieves and robbers and this and any other robbery.
