Protectione James Deuar

Anent the petitione given In to their Majesties High Commissioner and Lords of privie Councell Be James Deuar merchant in Perth Sheuing That he having ane Actione at his instance presently depending before his Grace and their Lordships Against Charles Dobie and others in Perth And they Having Instigat some of his Creditors to take out Captione Against him and arreasted all Goods and money belonging to him off purpose to hinder his personall presence Therby to Incapacitat him from presenting the said Actione To the ruine of him and his poor family And therfore Humbly Craving his Grace and their Lordships to Grant personall protectione to the petitioner during the dependance of the said Actione according to their Lordships Justice and practique in the lyke cases as the said petitione bears Their Majesties High Commissioner and Lords of privy Councell Doe Heirby Grant personall protectione to the said James Deuar untill the first day of Jully nixt to Come Inclusive that he may attend the advysing of the said process And discharges all Judges magistrats messengers at armes officers in burgh or Landuard to put any Letters of Captione Acts of warding or other personall dilligence to executione Against the said James Deuar untill the forsaid day Excepting alwayes their Majesties rents and publict dues sic subscribitur Tueeddale cancell Melvill Leven Selkirk Strathnaver Raith Adam Cockburn Mr F Muntgomery Archibald Murray John Maxuell
