Prorogatione of Meldrum’s protectione

Anent the petitione Given in to the Lords of there majesties privie Councill be John Urquhart of Meldrum Shewing That there being mutuall persuitts depending before there Lordships at the petitioners instance againest Alexander Burnet his oune Late Chamberland et econtra There Lordships were pleased to grant personall protectione to the petitioner untill the tuenty day of Februarij Last which wes therefter prorogat untill the sixth day of March current And now Sieing these processes are still depending And that it is not possible for the petitioner to compear unles his persone be protected from Captiones for civill debts And therefore craveing that the saids Lords would be pleased to prorogate the petitioners former protectione from the said sixth day of march current to some competent tyme That the petitioner may be in freedome not only to compear dureing the dependence But Lykewayes to returne home2 without trouble or molestatione As the said petitione bears The Saids Lords of there majesties privie Councill haveing considered this petitione given to them be the above John Urquhart Doe hereby prorogat the former personall protection Given be them to the petitioner from the date hereof to the tuenty first day of march instant And discharges all messengers officers within burgh and other ministers of the Law from putting any Letters of Captione acts of warding or other personall diligences to executione againest the petititioner dureing the said space except as to there majesties rents and dues allennarly sic subscribitur Tweeddale Cancel: Hamilton P: Breadalbaine Tarbat Cardross Beilhaven William Master of Forbes Ludovick Grant Thomas Livingstoune
